The King and Queen of Soul Music: James Brown and Aretha Franklin (July 22nd-July 26th: Show 27th) Ages 7-11yr olds July 22, 2019

"The Godfather of Soul" (James Brown) vs the "Queen of Soul" (Aretha Franklin). James Brown is considered the originator of funk music and is best known as "The Godfather of Soul"! Aretha Franklin with a voice developed via Gospel music has become best known as "The Queen of Soul"! In this camp students will learn hits by James Brown like "Please, Please, Please," "I Got You (I Feel Good)," and "Try Me," and classics by Aretha Franklin, to name a few, "Respect," Chain of Fools," and (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman." The campers will perform as full bands on Saturday, July 27th at 1pm at Just Jake’s, showcasing the lessons of the week long camp for family, friends, and community to enjoy!
